(PubMed, bioRxiv) - Jul 14, 2025 - "This report of site-specific CypA modification offers a promising avenue for developing next-generation IECs that should function effectively in patients receiving CsA/VCS and thus expand applications for adoptive cell therapies in multiple clinical settings. CRISPR editing of the last exon of PPIA retains CypA expression but with an altered C-terminus that disrupts CsA and VCS interactions PPIA Δ C immune effector cells demonstrate retained proliferation and function in the presence of CsA and VCS."
