To conclude the discussion, an algorithm is presented showing one possibility of how to include CNIs in the management of patients with LN. Finally, it is pointed out that despite an improved remission rate with the addition of a CNI to background therapy, about half the patients in the trial did not achieve a complete renal response, showing that while we have improved the treatment of LN, more work needs to be done."
