Sequential vs combination in lupus nephritis treatment (LUPUS-KCR 2023) - May 20, 2023 - Pres time: May 19, 2023; 03:30 PM - 04:00 PM; Location: Auditorium; "Evidence from recent randomized controlled trials (RCTs) such as the belimumab (BLISS-LN), voclosporin (AURORA-1) and the multi-target (low-dose combination of MMF and tacrolimus) trials supports better primary outcome renal response rates at different time points compared to the standard of care (SOC) regimens. The BLISS-LN extension data and the recent BeRLiSS prospective study showed that cross-over from placebo to belimumab at 2 years or add-on belimumab in LN that responded sub-optimally to SOC could achieve a renal response comparable to the BLISS-LN study. Further discussion is expected regarding step-up or step-down therapies of LN, and consensus recommendations will be updated by various international groups."
