METABOLIC DYSFUNCTION– ASSOCIATED STEATOTIC LIVER DISEASE IS ASSOCIATED WITH HIGHER MORTALITY AND HEPATIC DECOMPENSATION IN HEPATOCELLULAR CARCINOMA PATIENTS TREATED WITH IMMUNE CHECKPOINT INHIBITORS: A PROPENSITY-MATCHED ANALYSIS OF A FEDERATED HEALTH NETWORK (AASLD 2026) - Oct 6, 2026 - Abstract #4282; Pres time: Nov 8, 2026; 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM; Location: Convention Center: Poster Hall, Hall DE; "Adults with HCC who initiated an ICI (atezolizumab, durvalumab, tremelimumab, nivolumab, pembrolizumab, or ipilimumab) after HCC diagnosis were identified. In this large, propensitymatched real-world cohort, MASLD-HCC patients treated with ICIs had significantly higher mortality and more frequent, earlier hepatic decompensation than non-MASLD HCC patients. These findings support the hypothesis that the MASLD immunometabolic milieu limits ICI efficacy and underscore the need for etiologyspecific strategies, including microbiome-targeted approaches."
