Prognostic Value of 18 F-FDG PET/CT Imaging Parameters in Metastatic Melanoma Patients Undergoing Combined Immunotherapy (EANM 2026) - Sep 29, 2026 - Abstract #EP-0575; "We therefore evaluated the prognostic value of wMTV in patients with metastatic melanoma undergoing immune checkpoint inhibitor combination therapy (Ipilimumab + Nivolumab) and tested if wMTV retains its prognostic value for this intensified treatment when also including the site of metastatic disease in a prognostic model. Under modern combination therapy of metastatic melanoma, wMTV remains a prognostic factor and is superior to an index of tumour burden derived from CT and the spatial dissemination of metastases. However, in our population the presence of liver metastases was a stronger prognostic factor than wMTV."
