Single Center, Real World Data Exploring the Impact of Extramedullary Disease and CHIP on the Risk of Non-Icans Neurotoxicity (IMS 2026) - Sep 11, 2026 - Abstract #PA-445; Pres time: Sep 24, 2026; " Of 123 patients treated with CAR T-cell therapy (cilta-cel n=101, ide-cel n=22), 17 (13.8%) patients developed non-ICANS neurotoxicity...While dexamethasone use within 30 days was more common among patients with non-ICANS neurotoxicity (82.4% vs 33.0%; p< 0.001), infection rates did not differ significantly (35.3% vs. 22.6%, p=0.36)... In this real-world retrospective study of patients with MM, EMD was independently associated with non-ICANS neurotoxicity after adjustment for peak ALC. While CHIP mutations were more frequently observed in non-ICANS neurotoxicity, it did not reach statistical significance. The association between EMD and non-ICANS neurotoxicity underscores the potential importance of effective disease control with bridging therapy prior to CAR T-cell infusion."
