Real-World Evaluation of Prophylactic Anakinra for Toxicity Mitigation in BCMA CAR-T Therapy (IMS 2026) - Sep 11, 2026 - Abstract #PA-395; Pres time: Sep 24, 2026; " This single-center retrospective study included multiple myeloma patients who received idecabtagene vicleucel (ide-cel) therapy...Tocilizumab and dexamethasone intervention was required in 6 (29%), and 8 (38%) patients, respectively... Prophylactic anakinra was well tolerated with a favorable safety profile in multiple myeloma patients receiving BCMA CAR-T therapy. Patients demonstrated manageable rates of severe CRS and ICANS, minimal infection risk, and adequate early cytopenia recovery. Early efficacy was preserved, suggesting anakinra prophylaxis may reduce toxicity without compromising outcomes."
