Deteriorating fractional exhaled nitric oxide preceding pneumonitis during immune checkpoint inhibitor therapy: a case report. (PubMed, Respir Med Case Rep) - Oct 13, 2026 - "Immune checkpoint inhibitors (ICIs) such as nivolumab have transformed the management of metastatic cutaneous malignant melanoma but are associated with immune-related adverse events, including pulmonary toxicity...In this patient, FeNO elevation preceded conventional indicators of pulmonary toxicity during ICI therapy. These observations support further evaluation of FeNO as a potential early biomarker for ICI-related pulmonary toxicity."
