PREVIOUS ANTITHYMOCYTE-BASED IMMUNOSUPPRESSIVE THERAPY INCREASED THE RISK OF VIRUS REACTIVATION IN HAPLOIDENTICAL HEMATOPOIETIC CELL TRANSPLANTATION FOR SEVERE APLASTIC ANEMIA (EBMT 2026) - Mar 14, 2026 - Abstract #B320; Pres time: Mar 24, 2026; 06:00 PM - 07:00 PM; Location: VELAZQUEZ; "No letermovir prophylaxis for cytomegavirus (CMV) reactivation was used during the study period... In conclusion, salvage haplo-HCT led to an increased risk of virus reactivation, especially EBV and ADV reactivation. However, comparable survival rates to those of upfront haplo-HCT were achieved. Preliminary subgroup analysis suggested that, for patients who failed to respond to IST, timely consideration of haplo-HCT could be beneficial."
