Impact of Letermovir Prophylaxis on the Pattern of CMV Events and Its Association with Relapse in Allogenic HSCT Recipients for Myelodysplastic Syndromes (ICBMT 2025) - Sep 3, 2025 - Abstract #OP06-3; Pres time: Sep 12, 2025; 09:20 AM - 09:30 AM; "Letermovir prophylaxis did not affect key transplant outcomes, but reduced CMV reactivation. Despite this early benefit, late-onset CMV reactivation beyond day 100 still occured. The association of ECMVR with reduced relapse risk was evident in the non-LG, but disappeared in the LG, implying that letermovir prophylaxis may obscure the phenomenon whereby ECMVR indicates effective early immune reconstitution or GVL activity post-transplantation."
