REAJI Study: Predictors of Relapse During Tapering or Discontinuation of Targeted Therapies in Juvenile Idiopathic Arthritis (ACR Convergence 2026) - Sep 8, 2026 - Abstract #1524; Pres time: Nov 9, 2026; 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Location: WB1&2; In Person; "tocilizumab (4.8%; n = 3), or baricitinib (3.2%; n = 2)...In the multivariate analysis, two factors were significantly associated with the risk of relapse: a higher number of tapering attempts (OR = 5.84; 95% CI: 1.90-17.85; p = 0.002) and the type of targeted therapy, with a significantly lower risk observed under etanercept compared with adalimumab (OR = 0.12; 95% CI: 0.02-0.80; p = 0.029)... In this study, which included a long follow-up of patients with oligoarticular and RF-negative polyarticular JIA, we showed that treatment tapering in JIA is very common but is associated with a substantial risk of relapse. Repeated tapering attempts and the type of targeted therapy used influence this risk."
