Effectiveness and Safety of Janus Kinase Inhibitors in Refractory Takayasu Arteritis: A Multicenter Caucasian Cohort and Systematic Literature Review (ACR Convergence 2026) - Sep 8, 2026 - Abstract #170; Pres time: Nov 8, 2026; 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Location: WB1&2; In Person; " Six Caucasian patients (five women) with refractory TA received JAKi: baricitinib (n=2), tofacitinib (n=2), upadacitinib (n=2)...Before JAKi, all had received immunosuppressants (median 1.5; range 1-4 cDMARDs), and four (66.7%) had received biologics (median 2 [0-2]), including TNF inhibitors, tocilizumab, rituximab, and ustekinumab...Prednisone decreased from 10.0 [5.0-22.5] to 5.0 [3.1-8.7] mg/day (Figure 2)... In this multicenter Caucasian cohort of refractory Takayasu arteritis, JAK inhibitors were associated with improvements in disease activity, inflammatory markers, and glucocorticoid use, with an acceptable safety profile. Findings from the systematic literature review support these observations across diverse populations. Larger prospective studies are warranted to better define the role of JAK inhibition in Takayasu arteritis." Clinical • Review • Herpes Zoster • Varicella Zoster • Vasculitis
