A Rare FGFR1-Rearranged Myeloid/Lymphoid Neoplasm Presenting With Marked Leukocytosis: Successful Disease Control With Targeted Therapy Before Transplant (SOHO 2026) - Sep 1, 2026 - Abstract #MPN-1424; "The patient was initially treated with hydroxyurea and allopurinol (300 mg daily), which resulted in a partial reduction of WBC count from 64 to 54 × 103/μL. This case highlights the importance of early molecular and cytogenetic evaluation in unexplained leukocytosis with eosinophilia. Prompt recognition of MLN-FGFR1 is essential, given its aggressive clinical course. Our case further supports the emerging role of FGFR inhibition with pemigatinib as an effective bridge to curative transplantation in this rare hematologic malignancy."
