Study on the synergistic mechanism of photodynamic therapy combined with ferroptosis inducer to induce ferroptosis in cholangiocarcinoma (APASL 2025) - Jan 4, 2025 - Abstract #PP0058; " The combination of PDT with Lenvatinib or Erastin resulted in increased ROS levels, and decreased GSH content, tumor cells were inhibited in the G2 phase, and the proportion of apoptotic cells increased. 1. Photodynamic therapy can inhibit cholangiocarcinoma cells by increasing the content of ROS, MDA, LPO and Fe2+, reducing the content of glutathione (GSH), and inhibiting the expression of Xc-/GSH/GPX4 pathway and FSP1-CoQ10-NADPH pathway. It can reduce the reduction ability of antioxidants in tumor cells and induce ferroptosis in cholangiocarcinoma cells."
