CLINICAL OUTCOMES OF IMMUNOTHERAPY IN ADVANCED PEDIATRIC AND YOUNG ADULT SARCOMA: A SINGLE-INSTITUTION EXPERIENCE (SIOP 2026) - Oct 23, 2026 - Abstract #VIRTUAL-136; "The most frequently administered immunotherapy was nivolumab monotherapy (n=12, 50.0%), followed by ipilimumab–nivolumab combination therapy (n=5, 20.8%) and pembrolizumab monotherapy (n=4, 16.7%). In this heterogeneous cohort of children and young adults with metastatic sarcoma, immunotherapy showed limited efficacy, with most experiencing rapid progression or death. These findings align with prior literature demonstrating poor responses in unselected populations and highlight the need for biomarker-driven patient selection. Prospective pediatric trials evaluating combination strategies and cellular therapies are needed to identify children most likely to benefit from immunotherapies."
