Treatment of pregnant APS patients with certolizumab is associated with decreased Interferon-alpha (ACR Convergence 2026) - Sep 8, 2026 - Abstract #1476; Pres time: Nov 9, 2026; 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Location: WB1&2; In Person; "All patients from IMPACT had APS and received certolizumab and standard therapy [heparin and low dose aspirin (LMWH-LDA)] (n=46)...No significant differences in IFN-α levels were detected between those on or off hydroxychloroquine (HCQ) in the combined PROMISSE or IMPACT cohorts... In high-risk APS patients, certolizumab therapy was associated with lower IFN-α levels than LMWH-LDA alone; in those patients, IFN-α levels were comparable to healthy controls. Certolizumab was also associated with lowered IFN-α levels in the subset of pregnant APS patients with SLE. Treatment with HCQ was not associated with significantly different IFN-α levels indicating that increased use of HCQ was not driving the decrease in IFN-α in IMPACT patients."
