Osteoporosis treatment patterns and bone mineral density response in kidney transplant recipients: A single-center retrospective study (TTS 2026) - Sep 17, 2026 - Abstract #P4.791; Pres time: Sep 22, 2026; 04:45 PM - 06:00 PM; Location: Hall 1-2; P4; "Treatment groups included bisphosphonates (BP; alendronate, n=191), denosumab (n=261), and romosozumab (n=46), with some patients receiving more than one agent. In this cohort of kidney transplant recipients, osteoporosis treatment patterns shifted substantially over the past decade from bisphosphonates toward denosumab and romosozumab. All therapies were associated with improvements in bone mineral density, although the magnitude and anatomical distribution of response differed among agents. These findings reflect recent shifts in clinical practice and support individualized osteoporosis management after kidney transplantation."
