Combination Therapy with TNF Inhibitors and JAK Inhibitors in Multi-Drug-Resistant Rheumatoid Arthritis: a case series from the UCLouvain Arthritis Cohort (ACR Convergence 2026) - Sep 8, 2026 - Abstract #1403; Pres time: Nov 9, 2026; 10:30 AM - 12:30 PM; Location: WB1&2; In Person; "All RA patients receive a CoT with a TNFi (infliximab or etanercept) associated with a JAKi (Upadacitinib or Filgotinib). In patients affected by PsA and SpA, Upadacitinib was added to Bimekizumab and Risankizumab due to non-controlled articular disease...(A) Longitudinal changes in daily prednisone dose (PDN, mg/day) for each patient... In this highly selected proof of concept cohort of severe multi-refractory RA, PsA and SpA cohort, combination therapy with bDMARDs and JAKi therapy was associated with large clinical improvement without short- to mid-term safety issue. Under strict monitoring and individualized risk-benefit assessment, this strategy may represent a rescue option in exceptional severe and refractory cases. Larger and longterm prospective studies are needed to better define efficacy and safety."
