nusinersen (Spinraza) is accepted for restricted use within NHSScotland (Scottish Medicines Consortium) - Oct 12, 2026 - "Indication under review: for the treatment of 5q Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA). SMC restriction: patients with pre-symptomatic and symptomatic type 1 (infantile-onset) and type 2 or type 3 (later-onset) 5q SMA. Nusinersen 50 mg and 28 mg solution for injection are indicated for a high dose regimen, with limited net budget impact compared with the 12 mg low dose regimen."
