Longitudinal Effects of Lecanemab on Aβ Clearance and Multimodal Brain Network Coupling Stratified by Baseline Tau Burden in Mild Cognitive Impairment and Early Alzheimer's Disease (EANM 2026) - Sep 29, 2026 - Abstract #OP-377; Pres time: Oct 19, 2026; 09:45 AM - 11:15 AM; Location: Hall F1; "Our findings demonstrate that 12-month lecanemab treatment effectively reduces brain Aβ burden in early AD, irrespective of baseline tau stage. Notably, patients with lower tau burden exhibited stabilization or reduction of tau pathology, alongside significant correlations between regional tau changes and cognitive improvement-suggesting that earlier intervention may confer greater clinical benefit. The divergent patterns of global and local coupling scores in Aβ-T1w R2SN between low- and high-tau groups indicate that lecanemab differentially modulates the spatial organization of Aβ relative to structural brain changes depending on disease stage."
