A rare presentation of IgG4 - related disease in a patient with obstruction of the pulmonary trunk (EANM 2026) - Sep 29, 2026 - Abstract #EP-1481; "Consequently, a radical cardiothoracic surgical procedure was performed - resection and reconstruction of the pulmonary trunk and ascending aorta, along with pulmonary valve prosthesis implantation.Histopathological analysis of the lesion infiltrating the pulmonary trunk was consistent with a pseudotumoral inflammatory process caused by eosinophilic angiocentric fibrosis, while the mediastinal lymph nodes showed reactive lymphoid hyperplasia.Treatment with glucocorticoids and rituximab was initiated, after which the patient became afebrile and in good condition.Follow-up CT also demonstrated regression of the nasopharyngeal mass, accompanied by a subjective reduction in discomfort in the right ear. In this patient, the clinical presentation, disease extent, and FDG uptake were atypical - fever is highly unusual in IgG4-related diseases, as is infiltrative mass with intense FDG uptake around pulmonary trunk. Nevertheless, since IgG4-related diseases present theyself..."
