Epstein-Barr Virus-Associated Immune and Virological Profiles in Multiple Sclerosis Patients Receiving High Efficacy Therapies (Neuroscience 2026) - Sep 27, 2026 - Abstract #PSTR054.10 / Y10; Pres time: Nov 15, 2026; 08:00 AM - 12:00 PM; Location: WCC Halls A-C; "To investigate this possibility, we characterized EBV-associated immune and virological profiles in healthy controls (HC, n=25), untreated MS patients (n=19), anti-CD20-treated MS patients (n=32), and natalizumab-treated MS patients (n=21)...These findings indicate that highly effective MS therapies are associated with distinct EBV-specific immune and virological signatures and support the concept that DMT-dependent immune modulation may differentially influence peripheral control of latent EBV infection. Further investigation of EBV-host interactions in treated and untreated MS may provide insight into mechanisms linking viral persistence, immune regulation, and disease pathogenesis."
