Understanding the radiobiology of therapeutic radionuclides on prostate cancer cell lines (EANM 2026) - Sep 29, 2026 - Abstract #EPS-227; Pres time: Oct 20, 2026; 04:45 PM - 06:15 PM; Location: Hall G2; "Materials and Prostate cancer cell lines LNCaP (high PSMA expression), 22RV1 (low PSMA expression), PC3 and DU154 (no PSMA expression) were exposed to PSMA-targeting [225Ac]Ac- or [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-617, or non-complexed Ac-225 or Lu-177 at varying concentrations... These results highlight the greater effectiveness of the alpha-emitter Ac-225 compared to the beta-emitter Lu-177 in vitro. Future work includes comparison of these radiobiological effects with other therapeutic emitters. These experiments are essential to gain detailed insight into the radiobiology of different radionuclides for TRT and the relevance of the emitter-type is crucial for optimizing treatment strategies for cancer patients."
