Lutathera (lutetium Lu 177 dotatate) - Novartis
[ 177 Lu]Lu-PSMA-I&T and [ 177 Lu]Lu-DOTATATE post administration measurements to detect extravasation. (EANM 2026) - Sep 29, 2026 - Abstract #TEPS-014; Pres time: Oct 19, 2026; 03:00 PM - 04:30 PM; Location: Hall K; "Measurements of the 200 administrations prior to date of analysis of [177Lu]Lu-PSMA-I&T (N=100) and [177Lu] Lu-DOTA-TATE (N=100) (7.4 GBq in 194 patients, 5.5 GBq in 1 patient, 4.9 GBq in 2 patients, 3.7 GBq in 3 patients; no evidence of extravasation by clinical observations and on post-therapy imaging) were retrospectively analyzed to determine normal values... Measurement of the count rate difference between arms with a contamination monitor after administration of 177Lu-radiopharmaceuticals offers fast and easy detection of potential extravasation. In our patient cohort without suspected extravasation, count rate difference was below 6% in almost all patients with a mean of 1%. We therefore recommend to start actions to diffuse the radiopharmaceutical, consider imaging of the injection site when count rate difference exceeds 10%."
