LONG-TERM OUTCOMES OF BASILIXIMAB INDUCTION THERAPY IN ADULT LIVER TRANSPLANT RECIPIENTS: A PROPENSITY SCORE–MATCHED, LARGE-SCALE REAL-WORLD EVIDENCE STUDY (AASLD 2026) - Oct 6, 2026 - Abstract #4478; Pres time: Nov 8, 2026; 01:00 PM - 02:00 PM; Location: Convention Center: Poster Hall, Hall DE; "BSX induction in adult LT recipients resulted in lower incidence of AKI at early time points and improved 5-year survival. However, BSX induction showed higher rates of CKD, likely reflecting residual confounding by indication, as BSX is preferentially used in high-risk patients with history of CKD. These findings support the short-term renalprotective role of BSX induction with a potential long-term survival benefit, while highlighting the need for prospective studies with comprehensive adjustment for disease severity to establish the development of CKD."
