The 2026 ACC/AHA dyslipidemia guideline reframes lipid management as a core component of hepatology care. Its explicit endorsement of statin safety in stable liver disease, use of LDL-C goal-based intensification and incorporation of incidental CAC provide a practical framework for hepatologists to reduce cardiovascular mortality in MASLD. These updates support a more proactive heart-liver model of care and should be incorporated into hepatology clinic workflows and multidisciplinary MASLD management pathways."
