From plaques to blisters: pemphigus vulgaris complicating chronic psoriasis vulgaris (ESDR 2026) - Oct 5, 2026 - Abstract #191; "In this regard, we present the case of a 50-year-old female with a history of psoriasis vulgaris and breast cancer (ongoing hormone therapy with goserelin and tamoxifen), who develops bullae and erosions on the face, scalp, trunk and extremities...Current medications: betahistine, ramipril, amlodipine, irbesartan. Prior psoriasis treatments included methotrexate, secukinumab (discontinued after breast cancer diagnosis), and tildrakizumab (stopped after bullous eruption)...Potential mechanisms include psoriatic inflammation inducing epidermal changes that expose hidden desmoglein antigens (triggering PV via epitope spreading), shared genetic predisposition, and overlapping immune dysregulation. Both require different management, and treatments for one can sometimes aggravate the other."
