Unlocking Access of CAR-T Therapy in Taiwan: From Dual-Track Regulatory Transformation to National Insurance Breakthroughs (ICBMT 2026) - Oct 8, 2026 - Abstract #JS03-3; Pres time: Sep 18, 2026; 11:00 AM - 11:25 AM; Location: Room A(1F); "To improve CAR-T accessibility, Taiwan's National Health Insurance Administration (NHIA) granted conditional reimbursement for tisagenlecleucel (KymriahTM) under a Managed Entry Agreement (MEA) in November, 2023...The second CD19-directed CAR-T therapy, axicabtagene ciloleucel (YescartaTM), has been licensed and expected to be reimbursed in recent months...Looking forward, Taiwan is preparing for expanded indications, such as BCMA CAR-T for multiple myeloma, and decentralized point-of-care manufacturing. By combining regulatory flexibility with universal healthcare coverage, we are expecting a practical model for democratizing access to novel cellular immunotherapies."
