Red-emissive nitrogen-doped carbon dots from sisal waste: Facile fabrication and a potent dual-type (I/II) ROS photosensitizer for efficient photodynamic tumor ablation.
(PubMed, Bioresour Technol)
- "The resulting N-CDs exhibit excellent water dispersibility, a uniform size of around 3.26 nm, and a distinct dual-emission feature with a red fluorescence peak at 673 nm...In vivo studies using a 4 T1 tumor-bearing mouse model reveal that intratumoral injection of N-CDs followed by 660 nm irradiation achieves near-complete tumor ablation, accompanied by activation of systemic antitumor immune responses. This work not only offers a sustainable route for sisal waste valorization but also provides a promising red-emissive carbon-based photosensitizer for effective cancer PDT."

Fluorine migration, solidification, and secondary release mechanisms during high-value utilization of spent carbon cathode and bulk solid wastes.
(PubMed, J Hazard Mater)
- "F was mainly present as Na3AlF6 in SCC and decomposed into NaF(g) and AlF3(s) at 673-1173 K...Magnetic separation produced high-value metallic Fe powder from Fe resources. This strategy supports high-value utilization of SCC and typical solid waste through integrated waste-to-waste treatment."

Effect of Annealing on the Electrical and Magnetic Properties of Ni-SiO2 Multilayer Nanocomposites.
(PubMed, Nanomaterials (Basel))
- "Before annealing, the nanocomposite exhibited behavior characteristic of a system near the percolation threshold, while thermal treatment at 673 K for 30 min significantly reduced conductivity and increased activation energy, indicating reorganization of conductive pathways and increased separation between active centers...SEM observations confirmed a granular morphology with increased intergrain separation after annealing, EDS analysis indicated no significant increase in oxidation. The obtained results demonstrate that annealing strongly modifies transport and magnetic properties of Ni-SiO2 nanocomposites, making them promising materials for magnetoelectronic applications."

Robust subnanometer platinum embedded in ceria for efficient low-temperature hydrogen delivery
(ACS-Fall 2026)
- "In methylcyclohexane (MCH) dehydrogenation, the embedded PtASLPt catalyst achieves hydrogen release rates 3-4 times higher than state-of-the-art systems (selectivity >99.999%) and operates stably for over 3500 h at 673 K under WHSV = 4.87 h-1, conditions far harsher than those typically reported (723K, WHSV ≈ 0.5-2 h-1). These findings establish embed subnanometer Pt architectures as a robust platform for efficient catalytic dehydrogenation."

Strong anharmonicity driven wave-like thermal transport and high thermoelectric performance in TlCu5Se3.
(PubMed, Sci Adv)
- "The complex knot-like structure with strong anharmonicity reduces phonon lifetime below the Wigner limit, leading to substantial inter-band phonon coupling and a dominant wave-like coherence. By further tuning cationic vacancies to optimize electrical transport, we achieve an enhanced zT of ∼1.7 at 673 K in TlCu5-xSe3 (x = 0.03-0.07), demonstrating that confined ion dynamics not only maintains ultralow κL but also enhances thermoelectric performance without compromising the stability."

Ag doping enables high thermoelectric performance of cubic p-type (SnSe)0.55(PbTe)0.45 polycrystals.
(PubMed, Phys Chem Chem Phys)
- "The boosted carrier mobility (665.3 cm2 V-1 s-1 at 673 K) and the suppressed bipolar diffusion dominate the increase of ZT at medium and high temperatures. The ZT value of the best-optimized (SnSe)0.55(PbTe)0.45-0.03Ag at 823 K increased to ∼0.8, and the fabricated single-leg device attained a power generation efficiency of ∼2% at a temperature difference of approximately 525 K. This strategy offers a valuable reference for the application of cubic phase SnSe-based materials in thermoelectric power generation."

Optical behavior, ionic conductivity, and dielectric performance of lithium bismuth diphosphate: relevance for emerging technologies.
(PubMed, RSC Adv)
- "The dielectric constant reaches values on the order of 104 at 673 K, while the dielectric loss (tan δ max ≈ 14.68) increases significantly at low frequencies and elevated temperatures, suggesting the dominance of interfacial and space-charge polarization phenomena. In summary, these results deepen the understanding of the electrical transport and dielectric response in pyrophosphate systems and identify LiBiP2O7 as a promising material for high-frequency dielectric applications and energy storage technologies."

Spatially Homogeneous Mg3(Sb, Bi)2 With Suppressed Parasitic Transport Enables Ultrahigh Thermoelectric Performance.
(PubMed, Angew Chem Int Ed Engl)
- "As a result, a high zT of ∼2.08 at 673 K and an exceptional average zT of ∼1.58 over 323-723 K are achieved, placing these values among the highest reported for Mg3(Sb, Bi)2-based materials. Furthermore, a single-leg device delivers a conversion efficiency of ∼12.1% (ΔT = 410 K). These findings establish the spatial connectivity of heterogeneity as a key parameter governing thermoelectric transport and provide a general strategy for performance optimization."
