Leyden Labs Reports Positive Phase 1 Results for RIG-101, Supporting Advancement into Phase 2 to Protect Asthma Patients
(Businesswire)
- "Key findings: (i) Intranasal RIG-101 was safe and well-tolerated in healthy volunteers and patients with asthma at all dose levels with up to 7 days of daily administration; (ii) Daily intranasal dosing of RIG-101 in asthma patients produced the expected interferon response for the target antiviral mechanism of action, including inducing expression of type I and type III interferons and interferon-stimulating genes."

Antiviral effects of a RIG-I agonist (RIG101) against human rhinovirus in mice and differentiated bronchial epithelium from asthmatics
(ERS 2025)
- "Prophylactic treatment of RIG-101 NEED TM demonstrates potent antiviral effects against HRV in vivo and i n vitro , suggesting potential utility in protecting against virally-induced asthma exacerbations."

Effects of an anti-viral interferon booster, RIG-I agonist (RIG-101), on influenza infection in vitro and in vivo
(ERS 2024)
- "The antiviral effect was comparable or superior to oseltamivir. RIG-101 was found to show significant induction of interferon signalling, and potent antiviral effects against influenza in vitro and in vivo. This suggests that topical prophylactic treatment of RIG-101 has potential to show viral prevention efficacy against influenza infection."

Adjuvancy effects of a RIG-I agonist (RIG101) on H1N1 HA antigen intranasally vaccinated mice and human nasal epithelium/PBMCs co-culture
(ERS 2024)
- "RIG101, a RIG-I agonist, is promising adjuvant to boost mucosal vaccine effects against respiratory virus."

Pan-antiviral effects of RIG-I agonist (RIG-101) against respiratory syncytial virus and human rhinovirus in nasal epithelium in vitro and mice in vivo
(ERS 2024)
- "Prophylactic treatment of RIG-101 nanoemulsion demonstrate potent antiviral activities against HRV and RSV, suggesting that topical RIG101 delivered to nasal tract can induce sterilising immunity."
