Neuromuscular Electrostimulation of the Common Peroneal Nerve Increases Microvascular Flux in the Wound bed of Diabetic Foot Ulcers.
(PubMed, Int J Low Extrem Wounds)
- "Pulsatility in the wound bed increased by 183% (95%CI 61%-517%, P = .005), while pulsatility in the peri-wound increases by 359% (95%CI 264%-455%, P = .001). Additionally, an increase in flux and pulsatility was observed in the neuroischemic ulcers.ConclusionsNeuromuscular stimulation of the common peroneal nerve presents a mode of activating the leg muscle pump without additional pressure insult to the foot and has potential to support the microcirculation during wound-healing, effectively emulating exercise without any of the attendant risks of exercise to the neuropathic or neuroischemic foot."

Interrupted time series analysis of the impact of COVID-19 on emergency and elective surgeries in Iranian hospitals.
(PubMed, East Mediterr Health J)
- "Due to the pandemic there was a significant decrease by 359.6; however, we observed a gradual recovery in surgical activity with an average increase of 15.8 surgeries above the pre-pandemic levels...The COVID-19 pandemic significantly impacted surgical services in Iranian hospitals, causing a reallocation of resources to COVID-19 care and postponement of non-urgent surgeries. There is a need for strategic planning and policy interventions to ensure continuity of surgical care during health emergencies."

AMF and biochar reshape the bacterial network in rhizosphere soil of Ricinus communis under chromium (Cr) stress and improve soil quality.
(PubMed, J Hazard Mater)
- "Results indicated that under 150 mg/kg Cr stress, the AMF-biochar combination significantly increased castor plant fresh weight and soil quality index by 359.70 % and 121.25 %, respectively, compared to treatments without biochar or AMF (P < 0.05)...Network analysis and community assembly results revealed that AMF and biochar together significantly enhanced soil bacterial network complexity and average niche width. In conclusion, the AMF-biochar combination effectively promoted Ricinus communis growth under Cr stress and regulated rhizosphere soil bacterial community stability and assembly processes, providing valuable insights into plant-microbe interactions under Cr(VI) stress."

Efficacy of Potassium Competitive Acid Blockers (PCABs) vs Proton Pump Inhibitors (PPIs) for Healing of Duodenal Ulcers: A Systematic Review and Meta Analysis
(APASL 2025)
- "PCABs such as Vonoprazan, Tegoprazan, Soraprazan, Revaprazan, Keverprazan and Linaprazan are reversible, competitive antagonists of the H+/K+ ATPase that is seen to have more sustained acid suppression. PCABs such as Vonoprazan 20mg and Keverprazan 20mg are non inferior to PPIs in the healing of duodenal ulcers. Both classes of drugs had similar tolerability profiles. Table and Figure:Figure 1.Forest plot of PCAB vs PPI on healing of duodenal ulcers at Week 6 Figure 2.Forest plot of PCAB vs PPI on healing of duodenal ulcers at Week 4"

Molecular dynamics method to predict the effects of temperature and strain rate on mechanical properties of Aluminum/Copper superalloy.
(PubMed, J Mol Model)
- "The results show a significant enhancement in both UTS and elastic modulus with increasing copper content, with the UTS increasing by 359% and the elastic modulus by 281% when copper content rises from 1 to 20%...Additionally, higher strain rates were found to improve both UTS and elastic modulus, with an 11.95% increase in UTS and an 8.34% increase in elastic modulus at the highest strain rate (0.01 ps-1). These findings demonstrate the critical role of alloy composition, temperature, and strain rate in tailoring the mechanical properties of Al-Cu alloys, providing insights for optimizing the material for high-performance applications."

Enzymatic Synthesis of Indole-Based Imidazopyridine using α-Amylase.
(PubMed, Chembiochem)
- "The imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine scaffold has gained significant attention due to its presence as a lead structure in several commercially available pharmaceuticals like zolimidine, zolpidem, olprinone, soraprazan, etc. Further, indole-based imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives have been found interesting due to their anticancer and antibacterial activities...The generality and robustness of this protocol were shown by synthesizing differently substituted indole-based imidazo[1,2-a]pyridines in good isolated yields. Furthermore, to make α-amylase a reusable catalyst for GBB multicomponent reaction, it was immobilized onto magnetic metal-organic framework (MOF) materials [Fe3O4@MIL-100(Fe)] and found reusable up to four consecutive catalytic cycles without the significant loss in catalytic activity."

Structural Basis for Binding of Potassium-Competitive Acid Blockers to the Gastric Proton Pump.
(PubMed, J Med Chem)
- "We show crystal and cryo-EM structures of the gastric proton pump in complex with four different P-CABs, tegoprazan, soraprazan, PF-03716556 and revaprazan, at resolutions reaching 2.8 Å. We reveal that revaprazan has a novel binding mode in which its tetrahydroisoquinoline moiety binds deep in the cation transport conduit. The mechanism of action of these P-CABs can now be evaluated at the molecular level, which will facilitate the rational development and improvement of currently available P-CABs to provide better treatment of acid-related gastrointestinal diseases."

Remofuscin induces xenobiotic detoxification via a lysosome-to-nucleus signaling pathway to extend the Caenorhabditis elegans lifespan.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)

In conclusion, remofuscin activates the lysosome-to-nucleus pathway in C. elegans, thereby increasing the expression levels of xenobiotic detoxification genes resulted in extending their lifespan."
