Unilateral Onset of Subacute Cutaneous Lupus Erythematosus Mimicking Localized Dermatoses: A Case Report (EADV-Sp 2026) - "After treatment with topical desonide 0.05% cream alternating with tacrolimus 0.1% ointment, a tapering course of oral prednisone (20 mg), hydroxychloroquine 200 mg once daily, strict photoprotection, and adjunctive measures, lesions markedly improved with decreased erythema and thickness, resolution on the upper extremities, and a reduced CLASI activity score from 9 to 2 after six weeks, indicating a positive treatment response. Investigating the Telomerase Downregulatory Potential of Steroidal Drugs Following Pharmacophore-Based Rational; Computational and In Vitro Assessments. Oral ketoconazole induced cheilitis: A rare adverse effect (EADV 2024) - "It was developed as a first line agent for dermatophytosis, but was soon found to have various side effects, such as hepatotoxicity, leading to it being replaced by safer and effective drugs like terbinafine and itraconazole... Oral ketoconazole was stopped and treatment in the form of desonide 0.05% and petroleum jelly was given to be applied...Her dermatophytosis condition was managed with oral terbinafine and topical ciclopirox cream with significant improvement... Oral ketoconazole can be added to the list of causes of drug-induced cheilitis is, a hitherto unreported cause. Oral ketoconazole, though has varied other side-effects, such as hepatotoxicity and anti-androgenic side effects like gynaecomastia, cheilitis has never been reported with the use of this drug. Hence, it begins imperative to screen for cheilitis, along with other side effects, while using this drug."
