Tafasitamab-containing regimens in relapsed/refractory diffuse large B-cell lymphoma: A real-world retrospective case series
(ASH 2025)
- "Although first-line treatment with R-CHOP achieves remission in a substantial proportion of patients, many ultimately develop relapsed or refractory (R/R) disease...Uncontrolled after 4 prior regimens, she achieved PR with tafasitamab + lenalidomide + radiotherapy + zanubrutinib (maintained through cycle 3), but she had pre-existing pulmonary infection, recurrent infections, and grade 4 neutropenia...Previously treated with ZRD, she received tafasitamab with no TRAEs; treatment was ongoing at analysis, with response unassessed... This real-world series demonstrates that tafa-containing regimens exhibit clinically meaningful activity in extremely frail, heavily pretreated R/R DLBCL patients with poor baseline PS (ECOG ≥2 in 80%). Critically, combinations incorporating radiotherapy or PD-1 inhibition (tislelizumab) yielded significant responses. These novel combinations warrant prospective investigation in high-risk, poor-PS R/R DLBCL populations where effective, tolerable..."

Evaluation of non-indigenous biological assessment tools using benthic macroinvertebrates in a regulated river in the semi-arid region of Iran.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "According to the results, the macroinvertebrate communities downstream of the Zayandehrud Reservoir Dam (ZRD) showed homogenization of beta diversity due to river regulation, with significant spatial variation in Shannon diversity and community composition...Consequently, BMBTs must be applied cautiously to avoid misclassifications and misunderstandings in assessing regulated rivers. This underscores the urgent need for regionally adapted BMBTs to inform effective water management and policy decisions."

The Effect of Electrode Materials on the Fusion Rate in Multi-State Fusion Reactors.
(PubMed, Materials (Basel))
- "Three types of mesh anodes were assessed: stainless steel (SS), zirconium (Zr), and D pre-loaded zirconium (ZrD)...The findings suggest that material properties and deuterium pre-loading play significant roles in optimizing the efficiency of MSF reactors and the NPR. Future research may explore the long-term stability and durability of these anode materials under continuous operation conditions to fully harness their potential in fusion energy applications."

Coordinatively unsaturated Zr sites in amorphous ZrO2 catalyze carbon-carbon bond hydrogenolysis
(ACS-Fall 2025)
- "Mechanistic studies suggest that the Lewis acid-base pairs of zirconia (Zrd+-Od-) heterolytically cleave the C-H bond of alkane forming a (hydroxy)organozirconium species which subsequently engage in β-hydride or β-alkyl elimination reactions producing corresponding alkenes or lighter alkanes, respectively...The selectivity towards alkene formation increased (>97%) at dehydrogenation conditions (T>723K; PH2=0.05bar). This study impacts the development of inexpensive, earth-abundant metal oxide catalyst for the hydrogenolysis of plastic waste as well as the production of light olefins."

Molecular mechanism of phosphorylation-mediated impacts on the conformation dynamics of ligand-bound BACE1 probed by Gaussian accelerated molecular dynamics.
(PubMed, Phys Chem Chem Phys)
- "Gaussian accelerated molecular dynamics (GaMD) simulations are combined with principal component analysis (PCA), hierarchical cluster analysis based on residue free energy decomposition, the molecular mechanics generalized Born surface area (MM-GBSA) method and solvation interaction energy (SIE) method to explore the effect of phosphorylation and binding with ZR7, ZQS, and ZRD on the conformation of BACE1...In summary, phosphorylation at T259 affects the conformation of BACE1 and its recognition of ligands and substrates. Therefore, these characteristics should be carefully considered when designing BACE1 inhibitors."

Organic magnetic nanoparticles catalyze CO2 capture in hydrogen-bonded nanocages via water-driven crystallization.
(PubMed, Nat Commun)
- "Favorable biocompatibility and stable performance are conducive to the industrial application of this nanomaterial, and the excellent magnetic recyclable property enables simple separation from clean water. This strategy demonstrates an extraordinary CO2 capture potential compared to state-of-the-art systems, thus providing an inspiration for sustainable CO2 capture and storage with zero resource depletion (ZRD)."

Effective removal of As from a high arsenic-bearing ZnSO solution by ultrasonic enhanced ozonation in a one-pot method.
(PubMed, Ultrason Sonochem)
- "The As removal mechanism of our method encompasses ZRD neutralization, US-enhanced ozone mass transfer and decomposition, oxidation of As(III) and Fe, and adsorption and coprecipitation. Consequently, the proposed method provides a cost-effective, fast, safe and environmentally friendly alternative for treating arsenic-contaminated ZnSO solutions."

Ultra-Performance Liquid Chromatography-Tandem Mass Spectrometry for Simultaneous Determination of Antipsychotic Drugs in Human Plasma and Its Application in Therapeutic Drug Monitoring.
(PubMed, Drug Des Devel Ther)
- "We developed and validated an ultra-performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UPLC-MS/MS) method for simultaneous therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) and clinical pharmacokinetic antipsychotic drugs: clozapine (CLP), chlorpromazine (CPZ), risperidone (RPD), paliperidone (PLD), quetiapine (QTP;), aripiprazole (APZ), dehydroaripiprazole (DAP), olanzapine (OZP), ziprasidone (ZRD), and amisulpride (ASP). The results provided significant information to support future clinical TDM and rational drug use research. The proposed method also provided a simple, reliable, specific, and suitable technique for TDM and pharmacokinetic studies."
