Precise design and preparation of two 3D organic-inorganic perovskite ferroelectrics (1,5-diazabicyclo[3.2.2]nonane)RbX (X = Br, I).
(PubMed, Chem Commun (Camb))
- "Compared with the spherical molecule 1,4-diazoniabicyclo[2.2.2]-octane (2.2.2-dabco), 1,5-diazabicyclo[3.2.2]nonane (3.2.2-dabcn) bears a lower symmetry and larger size. As expected, reactions of 3.2.2-dabcn with rubidium halides gave two 3D molecular ferroelectrics [3.2.2-Hdabcn]RbX (X = Br for 1; X = I for 2) with T at 342 K (1) and 293 K (2)."

The determinants of staff retention after Emergency Obstetrics and Newborn Care training in Kenya: a cross-sectional study.
(PubMed, BMC Health Serv Res)
- "Retention of EmONC trained SHP in the relevant maternity departments was low at 36 percent. SHP were more likely to be retained by 1-year after training compared to the subsequent years and this varied from county to county. County policies and guidelines on SHP deployment, transfers and retention should be strengthened to optimise the benefits of EmONC training."

Renewable Furfural-Based Polyesters Bearing Sulfur-Bridged Difuran Moieties with High Oxygen Barrier Properties.
(PubMed, Biomacromolecules)
- "These polyesters had good thermal stability, decomposing at 342-363 and 328-570 °C under nitrogen and air, respectively, which allowed processing them into free-standing films via melt-pressing...Interestingly, besides the low oxygen permeability, the renewable sulfide-bridged furan monomer also endowed the polyesters with slight UV shielding effect, with cutoff wavelengths of ca. 350 nm, in contrast to FDCA-based polyesters, which lack significant UV light absorption at over 300 nm."

Energetic structure of Sm luminescence centers in SrTiO.
(PubMed, Dalton Trans)
- "In contrast, the luminescence obtained under excitation at 342 nm originates from the symmetrical center (B-center) and has not been reported in the literature so far. The presence of the two emission centers related to Sm ions in the SrTiO matrix characterized by only one crystallographic site of Sr was explained by considering the different ways of charge compensation: Sm in the A-center via strontium vacancy (V''), and Sm in the B-center via Ti (Ti')."

Investigation of the Solid-Solution Limit, Crystal Structure, and Thermal Quenching Mitigation of Sr-Substituted RbCaPO:Eu Phosphors for White LED Applications.
(PubMed, Inorg Chem)
- "Consequently, the photoluminescence was fine-tuned from reddish-orange (612 nm) to yellow (580 nm) light emission by increasing the Sr concentration in the solid-solution phosphors RbSrCaPO:Eu under excitation at 342 nm...Such an enhancement could be attributed to the improved rigidity of the crystal structure due to the local structure modification as evidenced by Rietveld refinement. The cation substitution is an effective approach for mitigating the thermal quenching issue of phosphors."

[VIRTUAL] Acceptance of patients insured by Medicaid at American dermatology residency training sites
(AAD-VMX 2021)
- " We assessed Medicaid acceptance by calling as a patient to schedule an appointment at 342 sites across 139 accredited U.S. dermatology residency programs.2 Responses were categorized as “accepts,” “does not accept,” or “conditionally accepts” if the practice restricted access to certain Medicaid plans or had >6 months wait... Most dermatology training sites accept Medicaid, suggesting low Medicaid acceptance by dermatologists may not be driven by limited exposure to these patients during training. Although it is possible that programs that did not accept Medicaid at their primary site receive Medicaid GME funding, this could not be confirmed from publicly available resources. Greater transparency in Medicaid GME funding is needed to adequately assess its relationship with Medicaid acceptance at dermatology training sites."

Epigenetically modified nucleobases (5hmc, 5fc, and 5caC) interaction with Boron and Nitrogen doped porous graphene (B/N-pGr) as promising materials for biosensing application: A Density Functional Theory calculations.
(PubMed, Environ Res)
- "The calculated absorption values shows that the B-pGr is strongly adsorbed MBs at 342 nm. The obtained results exhibit that the B-pGr sheet retains significant therapeutic potential as a bio-sensing application for cancer therapy."

Evolution of mitochondrial gene arrangements in Arcidae (Bivalvia: Arcida) and their phylogenetic implications.
(PubMed, Mol Phylogenet Evol)
- "The phylogeny based on nucleotide sequences did not support the monophyly of Arcidae, as Cucullaealabiata(Cucullaeidae) appeared as a subgroup within Arcinae, rather than sister group to the family Arcidae. In addition, we presented the first time-calibrated evolutionary tree of Arcidae based on mitochondrial DNA (mtDNA) sequences, which placed the deepest divergence within Arcidae at 342.36 million years ago (Mya), around the Carboniferous (360-300 Mya)."

In vitro nematicidal activity of two ferrocenyl chalcones against larvae of Haemonchus contortus (L) and Nacobbus aberrans (J).
(PubMed, J Helminthol)
- "The effect of FcC-1 against nematode phytoparasite N. aberrans showed a better percentage of 95% at a concentration of 342 μM, with EC50 = 7.18 μM and EC90 = 79.25 μM, whereas the effect of FcC-2 was 87% at 342 μM, with EC50 = 168 μM and EC90 = 319.56 μM at 36 h. After treatment, the scanning electron micrographs revealed deformities in the dorsal flank and posterior part close to the tail of H. contortus L3. They showed moderate in vitro nematicidal activity against H. contortus L3 and N. aberrans J2."

Atherosclerotic carotid bifurcation phantoms with stenotic soft inclusions for ultrasound flow and vessel wall elastography imaging.
(PubMed, Phys Med Biol)
- "Mechanical testing measured Young's moduli of the vascular wall and soft inclusion at 342 ± 25 kPa and 17 ± 3 kPa, respectively. B-mode, color Doppler, power Doppler, shear wave elastography, and strain elastography images of the different phantoms were produced to show the validity of the fabrication process. Because of their realistic geometries and mechanical properties, those phantoms may become advantageous for fluid-structure experimental modeling and validation of new ultrasound-based imaging technologies."

Liquid chromatography method to assay tretinoin in skin layers: validation and application in skin penetration/retention studies.
(PubMed, Heliyon)
- "The LC method consisted of a mobile phase composed of a mixture of methanol, water, and glacial acetic acid (85:15:1, v/v); a C18 column used as the stationary phase; a flow rate of 1.0 mL min; an injection volume of 100 μL; and TTN detection at 342 nm...A higher penetration of TTN through the skin was achieved with the gel rather than the cream, showing the influence of the dosage form. Therefore, the developed method can easily be applied in porcine skin penetration/retention studies of dermatological formulations containing TTN, and it is able to discriminate the behaviours of the different formulations."

Acid Oxidation of Muskmelon Fruit for the Fabrication of Carbon Dots with Specific Emission Colors for Recognition of Hg Ions and Cell Imaging.
(PubMed, ACS Omega)
- "The fluorescence properties of CMCDs were tuned by controlling the experimental conditions that allow them to emit different colors, that is, blue (B-), green (G-), and yellow (Y-) CMCDs, with different emission wavelengths at 432, 515, and 554 nm when excited at 342, 415, and 425 nm, respectively...This method was successfully applied to detect Hg ions in biological and water samples. The fabricated multicolor-emissive CMCDs possess the cell (Cunninghamella elegans, Aspergillus flavus, and Rhizoctonia solani) imaging property, suggesting the biocompatible nature for multicolor imaging of various cells."
