The BAFO of EM100 was higher than that of EM1000 (0.3 mm2). These findings may provide a basis for a new implant surface fabrication strategy aimed at reducing the risks of defective osseointegration and PJI."

(PubMed, EJNMMI Radiopharm Chem) - "For the automated synthesis of [Ga]Ga-EMP100, the parameters of pH, temperature, precursor peptide content and the use of adjuvants for impurity management were efficiently optimised, resulting in the production of three compliant and stable batches according to the principles of good manufacturing practice. [Ga]Ga-EMP100 was successfully synthesised and is now available for clinical development in PET-CT imaging."

Dietary Epimedium extract supplementation improves intestinal functions and alters gut microbiota in broilers. (PubMed, J Anim Sci Biotechnol) - "Supplementation with 200 mg/kg EM extract improved the composition of intestinal microbiota by regulating the core bacterial genus Lactobacillus, and increased the concentration of beneficial metabolites lactic acid and SCFAs in the flora, thereby improving the antioxidant capacity and intestinal permeability, enhancing the function of tight junction proteins. These beneficial effects improved the growth performance of broilers."

Osteoblastic differentiation and bactericidal activity are enhanced by erythromycin released from PCL/PLGA-PVA coaxial nanofibers. (PubMed, J Biomater Appl) - "In this study, four formulas of erythromycin (EM)-embedded both in core and sheath components of coaxial PCL/PLGA-PVA NF coatings were developed: EM 0 (no EM), EM 100 (100 μg/mL), EM500 (500 μg/mL) and EM1000 (1000 μg/mL). Our data indicate that EM-doped PCL/PLGA-PVA coaxial NF coatings have a great potential to be applied as a new implant coating matrices. Further in vivo testing in animal models is currently planned that should represent the first step in predicting the clinical outcomes of EM-eluting NF coating approach."

(PubMed, Environ Sci Pollut Res Int) - "Mice were randomly divided into 4 groups; control group, EMB25 group (1/30 LD = 25 mg/kg/day), EMB50 group (1/15 LD = 50 mg/kg/day), and EMB100 group (1/7.5 LD = 100 mg/kg/day)...In addition, MPO enzyme activity, 8-OHdG, PC, and TBARS levels were increased. The results showed that dose-dependent EMB exposure induced different physiological processes with enzymatic and biomolecular multi-biomarkers in the brain tissue of male mice and caused neurotoxic effects."
