The metastasizing mechanisms of lung cancer: Recent advances and therapeutic challenges
(ScienceDirect)
- “An extensive and in-depth understanding of the role of stromal cells in TME will contribute to a better understanding of the biology of lung cancer metastasis and bring new options for the treatment of lung cancer…However, tumor cells can evolve various strategies to avoid NK cell killing, such as the shedding of major histocompatibility complex-class I chain related proteins A (MICA) and MICB protein. Antibodies against MICA and MICB can actually increase MICA and MICB on the surface of cancer cells, enabling NK cells to exert a potent anti-tumor effect.”
