AAPM MEDICAL PHYSICS PRACTICE GUIDELINE 10.b: Scope of practice for clinical medical physics.
(PubMed, J Appl Clin Med Phys)
- "This report is an update of MPPG10.a, published in 2018, and provides the current minimum guidelines for the scope of practice for clinical medical physics as it has evolved to meet emerging needs and changes in practice...While must is the term to be used in the guidelines, if an entity that adopts the guideline has shall as the preferred term, the AAPM considers that must and shall have the same meaning. Should and Should Not: Used to indicate a prudent practice to which exceptions may occasionally be made in appropriate circumstances."

Clinical characteristics of patients with SALL1-related disorder.
(PubMed, Pediatr Nephrol)

Protection of naringenin chalcone by a pathogenesis-related 10 protein promotes flavonoid biosynthesis in Marchantia polymorpha.
(PubMed, New Phytol)
- "Several phenylpropanoid and flavonoid genes were downregulated in Mppr10.5 and Mpchalcone isomerase-like plants. This suggests PR10 proteins promote flavonoid biosynthesis by selectively binding unstable intermediates (NC), protecting them from degradation or undesirable nonenzymatic conversions and facilitating their transport to subsequent pathway steps."

Evaluation of thrombospondin 1 as a novel biomarker in pediatric-onset systemic lupus erythematosus.
(PubMed, BMC Pediatr)
- "In light of the current data, the efficacy of TBS-1 as a biomarker in pSLE diverged from its performance in adult SLE. In summary, TBS-1 shows potential as a biomarker for pSLE, particularly in hematological manifestations. Further investigations are essential to delve into the immunomodulatory roles of TBS-1 in the autoimmune pathways of pSLE."

(PubMed, Antioxidants (Basel))
- "Overall, the MPP-10 bread received a higher score (6.51) than the control (CTR) bread (5.6) and the MPP-5 bread (6.11). The total phenolic content of the fortified breads ranged from 44.760 to 98.931 mg gallic acid equivalents (GAE)/g, and the antiradical activity ranged from 15.213 to 29.461 mmol trolox equivalent antioxidant activity (TEAC)/100 g, depending on the percentage of enrichment."

Association of Bone Erosion and Microarchitecture with Disease Activity and Damage in Sjögren's Disease
(ACR Convergence 2024)
- "DXA did not indicate osteopenia or densitometric osteoporosis, with TBS 1.420 ± 0.09... HR-pQCT is a valuable tool for identifying joint erosions and bone microarchitecture changes in SjD patients. Joint erosion is common in SjD. Systemic bone involvement correlates with the disease damage index, highlighting the importance of detailed bone assessment for better management and treatment."

A CASE OF ANAPHYLAXIS TO CARDIAC ULTRASOUND ENHANCING AGENT
(ACAAI 2024)
- "She was treated with IM Epinepherine, IV Diphenhydramine and Methylprednisolone...Baseline tryptase was persistently elevated (12- 13ng/mL) and HaT testing revealed an extra-allelic copy of TBSB1. Risk of hypersensitivity reaction with UAEs should be considered in selection of cardiac imaging modalities. Anaphylactic/ anaphylactoid reactions can occur with administration of UAEs in patients without allergy to PEG and should prompt evaluation for conditions predisposing to anaphylaxis, including HaT and systemic mastocytosis."

Tubulin interaction at tubulin-binding sequence 1 (TBS1) is required for proper surface expression and TRPV1 channel activity.
(PubMed, Life Sci)
- "Such ligand-sensitivity is altered in response to Taxol or Nocodazole. We demonstrate for the first time the functional significance of TRPV1-tubulin complex and endorse microtubule dynamics as a parameter that can alter TRPV1 channel functions. These findings can be relevant for several physiological functions and also in the context of chemotherapy-induced neuropathic pain caused by various microtubule stabilizing chemotherapeutic drugs Thus, this characterization may indicate TRPV1 as a potential therapeutic target relevant for chemotherapeutic drug-induced peripheral neuropathies, neurodegeneration and other neurological disorders."

A UTP3-dependent nucleolar translocation pathway facilitates pre-rRNA 5'ETS processing.
(PubMed, Nucleic Acids Res)
- "For the remaining 25 proteins we found that UTP3/SAS10 assists the nucleolar localization of five proteins (MPP10, UTP25, EMG1 and the two UTP-B components UTP12 and UTP13), likely through its interaction with nuclear importin α...Mechanistically, we found that UTP3 facilitates the degradation of processed 5'ETS by recruiting the RNA exosome component EXOSC10 to the nucleolus. These findings lay the groundwork for studying the mechanism of cytoplasm-to-nucleolus trafficking of SSU processome components."

Skeletal effects among pre and postmenopausal women with hypoparathyroidism (HypoPT); data from the Canadian National Hypoparathyroidism Registry (CNHR)
(ENDO 2024)
- "Seven (7/8) were on bisphosphonate therapy (i.e., alendronate), and 3 females were on denosumab...Among PMF (n=48) the mean total hip T-score was -0.20 (SD=1.65), L1-L4 T-score -0.24 (SD=1.88), FN T-score -0.43(SD=1.59), and 1/3R T-score -0.94(SD=1.23).TBS scores in premenopausal women were normal (TBS=1.41(SD=0.10)) however the TBS was partially degraded among PMF (TBS= 1.28(SD=0.15))... The effects of hypoPT on bone strength needs further study2. Our data suggests that bone quality maybe impaired in PMF with hypoPT as noted by the presence of degraded TBS scores and the presence of fragility fracture in this population.Reference 1.Khan AA et al Canadian national hypoparathyroidism registry: an overview of hypoparathyroidism in Canada. Systematic Analysis of the Role of Chromatin Remodeling on Co-Expression of Functionally Related Gene Clusters in Saccharomyces cerevisiae
(ASM Microbe 2024)
- "The ribosomal biogenesis gene cluster of MPP10 and MRX12 has been dissected thoroughly, with this pair dependent on maintaining their genomic position as neighbors for proper transcriptional coordination with the rest of their gene family...We have identified a previously uncharacterized role for BUR2, CTI1, IES3, and SDS3, in the regulation of the ribosomal biogenesis gene clusters. Our current work is expanding our analysis to integrate and characterize the role of chromatin remodeling of functional clusters during induction of the environmental stress response."

Acetylation of transcription factor BpTCP20 by acetyltransferase BpPDCE23 modulates salt tolerance in birch.
(PubMed, Plant Physiol)
- "Chromatin immunoprecipitation sequencing showed that BpTCP20 binds to NeuroD1, T-box, and two unknown elements (termed TBS1 and TBS2) to regulate target genes...In addition, we identified dihydrolipoyllysine-residue acetyltransferase component of pyruvate dehydrogenase complex (BpPDCE23), an acetyltransferase that interacts with and acetylates BpTCP20 to enhance its binding to DNA motifs. Together, these results suggest that BpTCP20 is a transcriptional regulator of salt tolerance, whose activity is modulated by BpPDCE23-mediated acetylation."
