Design optimization and efficiency enhancement of axial junction nanowire solar cells utilizing a forward scattering mechanism.
(PubMed, RSC Adv)
- "We also observe increased electron-hole-pair (EHP) generation rate due to increased field-scattering and light concentration at the center of the nanowire below forward scattering hemispheres, leading to 46%, 32%, and 82.5% improvement in power conversion efficiency (PCE) for the three absorber layers, respectively. The effects of AlO and SiO passivation layers surrounding the nanowires of the optimized cells are observed, and we conclude that the CIGS absorber benefits the most when the SiO passivation layer is used, increasing its PCE from 29.72% to 32.43%, while the PCEs of CdTe and CZTS are unaffected by the passivation layer due to competing effects of reduced absorption and reduced surface recombination."

High-risk follicular lymphoma: Treatment options.
(PubMed, Hematol Oncol)
- "Obinutuzumab was superior to rituximab for PFS in the GALLIUM study, although the benefit was small and required more drug. Chemotherapy platforms have changed in the past decade, as bendamustine combined with rituximab has become commonly utilized frontline strategy in North America and parts of Europe, although there is certainly no one standard treatment...A multitude of novel therapies are under investigation in both the frontline and relapsed/refractory settings. It will be critical to identify the most appropriate populations for new agents and to develop validated surrogate endpoints, so that novel agents can be tested (and adopted, if appropriate) efficiently."

Channel Shape Effects on Device Instability of Amorphous Indium-Gallium-Zinc Oxide Thin Film Transistors.
(PubMed, Micromachines (Basel))
- "Moreover, charge trapping time (τ) for zigzag-type a-IGZO TFTs is extracted as 3.8 × 10, which is at least three-times smaller than those of other channel-type a-IGZO TFTs, hinting that local E-field enhancement can critically affect the device reliability. The Technology Computer Aided Design (TCAD) simulation results reveal the locally enhanced E-field at both corner region in the channel in a quantitative mode and its correlation with hemisphere radius (ρ) values."

Real-Time Dynamic 3D Shape Reconstruction with SWIR InGaAs Camera.
(PubMed, Sensors (Basel))
- "Meanwhile, a real-time 3D shape reconstruction with a frame rate of 25 Hz can be realized by this system, which has great application prospects in real-time dynamic 3D shape reconstruction, such as low illumination monitoring. In addition, for real-time dynamic 3D shape reconstruction, without considering the edge areas, the maximum error in depth among all frames is 1.42 mm for a hemisphere with a depth of 35 mm, and the maximum error of the average of all frames in depth is 0.52 mm."
