Thermodynamic and Kinetic Parameters of Four Drugs Toward Beta-2 Adrenergic Receptor Were Measured Robustly and Accurately Through a Chromatographic Column With CotB1 Peptide-Mediated Immobilization.

- "Two experimental models, such as the injection amount-dependent method and nonlinear chromatography, were employed to measure equilibrium constants and rate constants of four drugs, including bambuterol, salbutamol, clorprenaline, and tulobuterol, toward β2AR. Thermodynamic analysis revealed that four drugs were spontaneously bound to β2AR, and the bindings between them were mainly driven by electrostatic interactions. Our results indicated that the CotB1p-mediated immobilization strategy, resulting in the robust and accurate measurement of the binding parameters of ligand-receptor interaction, will bring new perspectives in applying affinity chromatography in the research fields of drug screening and drug-protein interaction."

- "A polyhydroxy hyper-cross-linked polymer (HCP), named as TP/BCMBP-HCP, was successfully synthesized by copolymerizing 4,4',4''-trihydroxytriphenylmethane (TP) and 4,4'-bis(chloromethyl)biphenyl (BCMBP) to target at the selective extraction of the β-adrenergic agonists (ractopamine and bambuterol)...The method recoveries ranged from 87.5 % to 115 %, with the RSDs below 9.4 %. With conventional HPLC-FLD instrument, the method achieved satisfactory sensitivity, repeatability and accuracy for the analysis of the analytes in complex meat samples."

A new HPTLC-image analysis approach for assessing interactions and antioxidant profiles of adrenergic drugs.

- "Results revealed that highly polar compounds, that is norepinephrine, etilefrine, metaraminol and midodrine exhibited strong interactions with silica gel but limited retention on reversed-phase, while lipophilic derivatives, namely naphazoline, xylometazoline, clenbuterol and bambuterol demonstrated strong affinity for non-polar and moderately polar phases, predicting good membrane penetration and blood-brain barrier permeability. Interestingly, some β-agonists (bambuterol, fenoterol, buphenine and irsoxsuprine) with polar groups showed unexpectedly weak silica gel retention, highlighting their dominant lipophilic contributions...Thus, the polar phases (silica gel, DIOL) enhanced radical scavenging activity, whereas non-polar phases often reduced it. Determination of 13 potential anti-obesity agents in hair by dispersive liquid-liquid microextraction-assisted UHPLC-MS/MS.

- "The developed method successfully detected 13 anti-obesity agents within 11 min, including bambuterol, clenbuterol, ractopamine, clorprenaline, formoterol, salbutamol, terbutaline, procaterol, phentermine, bupropion, sibutramine, desmethyl sibutramine, and N,N-didesmethyl sibutramine, which improved the screening efficiency. The validated method was successfully applied to 369 real cases and detected six analytes, including bambuterol, salbutamol, terbutaline, sibutramine, desmethyl sibutramine, and N,N-didesmethyl sibutramine. This method offers several advantages, including simple pretreatment, high extraction efficiency, rapid extraction, solvent economy, and pollution mitigation, making it highly suitable for large-scale surveillance of usage of added anti-obesity agents."

- "In this study, a method based on ultra high performance liquid chromatography-tandem mass spectrometry (UHPLC-MS/MS) was established for the rapid detection of 14 β-agonists (clenbuterol, salbutamol, ractopamine, clorprenaline, terbutaline, tulobuterol, bromobuterol, bambuterol, zilpaterol, mabuterol, fenoterol, arformoterol, cimaterol, and cimbuterol) in animal food sources. The results were close to those of the national standard method, indicating that the method is accurate and reliable. Moreover, the proposed method has good stability and high accuracy; thus, it is suitable for the qualitative and quantitative determination of β-agonists in animal meat."

Identification of Compounds for Butyrylcholinesterase Inhibition.

- "From the primary screening, we identified a group of 125 compounds that were further confirmed to inhibit BChE activity, including previously reported BChE inhibitors (e.g., bambuterol and rivastigmine) and potential novel BChE inhibitors (e.g., pancuronium bromide and NNC 756), representing diverse structural classes. The binding modes of these compounds were further studied using molecular docking analyses to identify the differences between the interactions of these BChE inhibitors within the active sites of AChE and BChE. Our qHTS approach allowed us to establish a robust and reliable process to screen large compound collections for potential BChE inhibitors."
