Haisco plans to raise no more than 1.365 billion yuan through a private placement to invest in new drug research and development projects and replenish cash flow [Google translation]
(STCN)
- "On the evening of February 27, Haisco (002653) announced its plan to issue A-shares to specific objects in 2025. The company plans to issue no more than 70 million shares to specific objects, and the total amount of funds raised will not exceed 1.365 billion yuan....According to the plan, the research and development of innovative drugs raised by Haisco this time include HSK31679 (non-alcoholic fatty hepatitis), HSK31858 (respiratory diseases), propofol (general anesthesia), HSK39297 (paroxysmal nocturnal hemoglobinuria, primary IgA nephropathy), HSK21542 (postoperative pain, postoperative nausea and vomiting) and HL231 (respiratory diseases) and other drugs for subsequent domestic and overseas clinical research and market registration."

Learning in the Single-Cell Organism Physarum polycephalum: Effect of Propofol.
(PubMed, Int J Mol Sci)
- "The model consists of a labyrinth of subsequent bifurcations in which food (oat flakes soaked with coconut oil-derived medium chain triglycerides [MCT] and soybean oil-derived long chain triglycerides [LCT]) or propofol in MCT/LCT) is placed in one of each Y-branch...In contrast, when oat flakes were soaked with propofol, Physarum's preference for oat flakes declined significantly. Several possible actions, including the blocking of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) receptor signaling, are suggested to account for this behavior, many of which can be tested in our new model."

Efficacy and Safety of Fospropofol Disodium for Injection in General Anesthesia Induction for Adult Patients: A Phase 3 Trial.
(PubMed, Front Pharmacol)
- "Objective: This study aimed to assess the efficacy and safety of Fospropofol in comparison with propofol medium/long-chain fat emulsion injections (propofol-MCT/LCT) for general anesthesia induction in adult patients undergoing elective surgeries...It is safe and effective for clinical use under anesthesiologist monitoring. Impact on Practice Statement: Fospropofol can produce a general anesthesia effect and reduce the incidence of pain at the site of injection."

Effects of Sugammadex versus Neostigmine on Intraoperative Coagulation Profiles in Patients with Thyroidectomy.
(PubMed, Drug Des Devel Ther)
- "Induction of anesthesia was preformed using propofol, sufentanil, and rocuronium. Additionally, in Group S, the APTT was prolonged in T1 and returned to normal in T2. The result showed that sugammadex provided transient efficacy in prolonging the coagulation parameters, while neostigmine did not change the coagulation profile."

Diagnosis and Treatment of Status Epilepticus.
(PubMed, J Epilepsy Res)
- "The second-line treatment comprises intravenous (IV) doses of fosphenytoin (phenytoin), valproate, phenobarbital, levetiracetam, or midazolam...New AEDs such as IV levetiracetam and lacosamide can also be used to treat NCSE with fewer side effects and drug-drug interactions. For refractory SE, general anesthesia with IV midazolam, propofol, pentobarbital, or thiopental could be applied. Use of ketamine, megadose phenobarbital therapy, and multiple combinations of various AEDs including high doses of oral AEDs can also be considered...AEDs alone are poorly effective in the treatment of SE in autoimmune encephalitis. Immunotherapy such as steroids, immunoglobulin, rituximab, or tocilizumab can be effective."

Does Peritraumatic Ketamine Reduce Symptoms of Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder?
(PubMed, Spartan Med Res J)
- "Based on the literature to date, peritraumatic ketamine does not appear to influence the prevention nor development of ASD and subsequent PTSD. More research is needed to clarify the psychopharmacologic effects of ketamine when used in the management of reactions to acute trauma experiences. Based on the results of the two later works, future research is indicated considering whether propofol may contribute to PTSD development."

Inhibitory Effects of Dexmedetomidine and Propofol on Gastrointestinal Tract Motility Involving Impaired Enteric Glia Ca Response in Mice.
(PubMed, Neurochem Res)

Differential effect of anesthetics on mucociliary clearance in vivo in mice.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "Our results indicate that anesthetics containing ketamine (ketamine/xylazine and ketamine/dexmedetomidine) significantly depress MCC, while combinations containing fentanyl (fentanyl/isoflurane, fentanyl/midazolam/dexmedetomidine) and propofol do not. Our method for assessing MCC is reproducible and has utility for studying the effects of other drug combinations."

A synthetic peptide rescues rat cortical neurons from anesthetic-induced cell death, perturbation of growth and synaptic assembly.
(PubMed, Sci Rep)
- "This study provides the first direct and comparative account of three key anesthetics (desflurane, propofol, and ketamine) when used under identical conditions, and demonstrates their impact on neonatal, rat cortical neuronal viability, neurite outgrowth and synaptic assembly. Furthermore, we discovered that inhibiting Fis1-mediated mitochondrial fission reverses anesthetic-induced aberrations in an agent-specific manner. This study underscores the importance of designing mitigation strategies invoking mitochondria-mediated protection from anesthetic-induced toxicity in both animals and humans."
