[VIRTUAL] Low-Grade Endometrial Endometrioid Adenocarcinomas with MELF Pattern Invasion Harbor ARID1A Mutations
(USCAP 2021)
- "In our cohort, truncating ARID1A variants were identified in 90% of EC with a MELF pattern of myometrial invasion. To our knowledge, this is the first study to characterize ARID1A at the molecular level in low-grade EC with MELF pattern invasion. These findings support molecular classification of EC as an emerging tool for better risk stratification and selection of molecularly informed therapies."

Evaluation of NTRK immunohistochemistry as a screening method for NTRK gene fusion detection in non-small cell lung cancer.
(PubMed, Lung Cancer)
- "The presence of NTRK fusion genes in non-small cell lung cancer is exceedingly rare. The use of the immunohistochemical NTRK assay will result in a small number of false positive cases. This should be considered when the assay is applied as a screening tool in clinical diagnostics."

Determining microsatellite instability (MSI) status of colorectal cancers through next-generation sequencing (NGS)
(AACR 2018)
- "Collectively, this data indicates that NGS can be utilized for determining tumor MSI status using WES or the TST170 panel. In addition, a bioinformatics algorithm was developed that successfully categorized tumors according to their MSI status without requiring subject-matched normal DNA sequence data. For Research Use Only. Not for use in diagnostic procedures."

[VIRTUAL] GLANZMANN THROMBASTENIA: CASE REPORT
(HEMO 2020)
- "The patient was recently hospitalized with hematemesis - he received tranexamic acid, infusion of red blood cells and platelets, with rapid recovery...Diagnostic evaluation is characterized by: normal morphology and platelet count; TS prolongation, with normal TP and aPTT; platelet aggregation absent in the presence of agonists (Epinephrine, Collagen, Arachidonic acid, Adenosine diphosphate / ADP) and normal in response to ristocetin; with no expression of CD41 and CD61 (GPIIb / IIIa complex) at Flow Cytometry. Impact of Soil Warming on the Plant Metabolome of Icelandic Grasslands.
(PubMed, Metabolites)
- "The metabolomes of A. capillaris and R. acris shifted abruptly and nonlinearly to soil warming >5 °C above the control temperature for the coming decades. These results thus suggest that a slight warming increase may not imply substantial changes in plant function, but if the temperature rises more than 5 °C, warming may end up triggering metabolic pathways associated with heat stress in some plant species currently dominant in this region."

Old World megadroughts and pluvials during the Common Era.
(PubMed)
-
Sci Adv
- "In addition, megadroughts reconstructed over north-central Europe in the 11th and mid-15th centuries reinforce other evidence from North America and Asia that droughts were more severe, extensive, and prolonged over Northern Hemisphere land areas before the 20th century, with an inadequate understanding of their causes. The OWDA provides new data to determine the causes of Old World drought and wetness and attribute past climate variability to forced and/or internal variability."
