ALLOGENEIC BCMA‑TARGETED CAR‑INKT CELLS WITH PD‑1 DISRUPTION EXHIBIT ENHANCED ANTITUMOR POTENCY IN A MULTIPLE MYELOMA PRECLINICAL MODEL
(EHA 2026)
- "Background Two BCMA ‑ directed CAR ‑ T cell therapies, idecabtagene vicleucel (ide ‑ cel) and ciltacabtagene autoleucel (cilta ‑ cel), are now FDA ‑ approved for relapsed/refractory multiple myeloma (R/R MM) and have shown remarkable clinical benefit, yet autologous manufacturing remains constrained by long production timelines, high costs, delayed treatment initiation, and dependence on patient ‑ derived T ‑ cell quality...iNKT cells also offer intrinsic advantages, including bone marrow homing and BCMA ‑ directed cytotoxicity, further strengthened by CD1d ‑ mediated activation and NK receptor/ligand interactions. Together, these features position our approach to deliver meaningful benefit for patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma, with the potential to surpass the efficacy of current therapeutic options."
