[VIRTUAL] RESILIENT DIRECT TNK Trial [Board No. CTP14]
(ISC 2021)
- "INTRODUCTION: Intravenous thrombolysis (IV) with recombinant tissue plasminogen activator (tPA, alteplase) and mechanical thrombectomy are the main approved reperfusion therapies for the treatment of acute ischemic stroke (AIS). We aim to test the hypothesis that for AIS patients with anterior large vessel occlusion < 4.5 hours from the onset of symptoms, mechanical thrombectomy strategy preceded by TNK (B) is superior to mechanical thrombectomy alone (A) to achieve more favorable outcomes measuring by mRS scores at 90 days."

G protein Coupled Receptor Kinase 5 Modifies the Nucleolar Stress Response Activated by Actinomycin D.
(PubMed, Biochem Cell Biol)
- "Phosphorylation at this site increases the ability of NPM1 to interact with p14ARFin vitro, which may affect p14ARF protein expression levels. Expression levels are lower in control shRNA transfected cells but higher in GRK5 shRNA transfected cells. Collectively, this suggests that GRK5 modifies the nucleolar stress response associated with ActD."

Alternative conformation of the C-domain of the P140 protein from Mycoplasma genitalium.
(PubMed, Acta Crystallogr F Struct Biol Commun)
- "The structure of the C-domain determined in this work presents significant differences with respect to the structure of the C-domain found recently in intact P140. The structural plasticity of the C-domain appears to be a possible mechanism that may help in the functioning of the mycoplasma adhesion complex."

Genetic Alterations in the INK4a/ARF Locus: Effects on Melanoma Development and Progression.
(PubMed, Biomolecules)
- "There is also a subset of less common somatic and germline INK4a/ARF alterations that affect p14, while not altering the syntenic p16 coding regions. In this review, we describe the frequency and types of somatic alterations affecting the CDKN2A locus in melanoma and germline CDKN2A alterations in familial melanoma, and their functional consequences in melanoma development. We discuss the clinical implications of CDKN2A inactivating alterations and their influence on treatment response and resistance."
