Bertolotti’s Syndrome as a Confounder in the Treatment of Low Back Pain (AAPMed 2019) - "Bertolotti’s syndrome, lumbosacral transitional vertebrae (LSTV), is a common anatomical variant with a prevalence of up to 35%, but it is an uncommon cause of back pain. Reported symptoms can overlap with facet pain, radiculopathy, and SI joint pain.
