Kaigene…announced today that it has entered into an exclusive licensing agreement with Taisho Pharmaceutical…for the exclusive development and commercialization of Kaigene's next-generation human neonatal Fc receptor (hFcRn) inhibitor, KG006, in Japan (PRNewswire) - "Under the terms of the agreement, Kaigene will receive a one-time upfront payment of $5 million. Kaigene is also eligible to receive up to a combined total of $22 million and ¥57.5 billion JPY (approximately $351 million) in aggregate development, regulatory, and sales milestone payments upon the achievement of specific clinical, regulatory, and cumulative net sales milestones. In addition, Kaigene will receive tiered royalties on net sales of the product in Japan. Taisho will assume full responsibility and hold exclusive rights for the clinical development, regulatory approval, and commercialization of KG006 within the Japanese territory."

The next wave is scheduled to move toward regulators next year. (Korea Biomedical Review) - "Celltrion said it plans to file investigational new drug applications in early 2027 for an additional antibody-drug conjugate, CT-P74, and an FcRn inhibitor, CT-P77, and that it aims to submit a total of 12 investigational new drug applications for new-drug programs by 2028...Celltrion said it is aiming to file an investigational new drug application for CT-G32 in the second half of 2027..."

Kaigene Enters into Exclusive Licensing Agreement with Celltrion for Novel Antibody Therapeutics in Autoimmune Diseases (PRNewswire) - "Under the terms of the agreement, Kaigene will receive $8 million upfront payment and up to $736 million in total milestone payments, including $11 million in near-term milestones through the initiation of Phase 1 clinical trials. Kaigene is also eligible to receive tiered royalties on net sales if the product from the collaboration is commercialized. Celltrion will obtain exclusive rights to develop and commercialize KG006 worldwide except Greater China and Japan, and will hold worldwide rights for KG002."
