Denteric today announced the commencement of participant recruitment for a Phase I clinical study of its first-in-class therapy for Alzheimer's disease (PRNewswire) - "The randomised, double-blind study will recruit 10 patients with early Alzheimer's disease and who are positive for Porphyromonas gingivalis in saliva....The first site to commence recruitment is the Royal Melbourne Hospital, with a second site at Austin Health expected to open soon....'This early-stage trial is focused on evaluating GPV381 safety and tolerability in patients with P. gingivalis infection, which is a necessary foundation before any future studies assessing clinical outcomes'."
