Aggregation and deposition kinetics of polystyrene nanoplastics in lung fluids: Influence of particle property, fluid condition, and surfactant protein.
(PubMed, J Hazard Mater)
- "This study investigated the aggregation and deposition kinetics of six polystyrene NPs (PSNPs): NP50, NP100, NP500, A-NP50 and A-NP100 (amino-modified), and C-NP100 (carboxyl-modified), in artificial lysosomal fluid (ALF) and Gamble's solution (GMB)...For A-NP50, BSA consistently reduced aggregation. These findings provide insights into NP transport and health risks in pulmonary environments."

Analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities of NPK500 capsules, a Cassia sieberiana DC. - based herbal analgesic medicine used to treat dysmenorrhea and peptic ulcer, is mediated through the inhibition of PGE2 and iNOS.
(PubMed, J Ethnopharmacol)
- "These results show that NNPK500 and ONPK500 capsules possessed potent analgesic and anti-inflammatory activities via inhibition of PGE2 and iNOS as a result of their chemical constituents. NPK500 capsules thus, relief acute pain and inflammation without causing gastrointestinal, renal or hepatic injuries, since they did not inhibit COX-1."

The size-dependent effects of nanoplastics in mouse primary hepatocytes from cells to molecules.
(PubMed, Environ Pollut)
- "The degree of inhibition of CAT activity by different sized NPs was coherent at the cellular and molecular levels, and NP-500 had the most impact...All NPs induce CAT fluorescence sensitization and make the chromophore microenvironment hydrophobic. This study provides new insights for NP risk assessment and applications."

Silica nanoparticles conferring resistance to bacterial wilt in peanut (Arachis hypogaea L.).
(PubMed, Sci Total Environ)
- "In this study, we synthesized silica nanoparticles (SiO NPs), a prospective efficient management approach to control PBW, and conducted a hydroponic experiment to investigate the effects of different SiO NPs treatments (i.e., 0, 100, and 500 mg L as NP0, NP100, and NP500, respectively) on promoting plant growth and resistance to R. solanacearum...Meanwhile, the up-regulated expression of the SA-metabolism gene, salicylate carboxymethyltransferase (SAMT), initiated SAR to promote PBW resistance. Overall, our findings revealed that SiO NPs, functioning as a plant elicitor, could effectively modulate physiological enzyme activities and enhance SA contents through the regulation of SA-metabolism genes to confer the PBW resistance in peanuts, which highlighted the potential of SiO NPs for sustainable agricultural practices."

Aggregation kinetics of polystyrene nanoplastics in gastric environments: Effects of plastic properties, solution conditions, and gastric constituents.
(PubMed, Environ Int)
- "This study investigated the early-stage (20 min) and long-term (1-6 h) aggregation kinetics of four commonly-found polystyrene nanoplastics (PSNPs) including NP100 (100-nm), A-NP100 (100-nm, amino-modified), C-NP100 (100-nm, carboxyl-modified), and NP500 (500-nm) under gastric conditions...Freundlich isotherm suggested that PSNPs adsorbed organic constituents following lysozyme > porcine bile > proteose-peptone > pepsin > glycine > D-glucose, inducing changes in constituent structure and PSNP properties. These findings provide insights on the transport of nanoplastics in the gastric environments."
