Impact of immunoglobulin preparations on anti-HLA antibody specificity analysis.
(PubMed, Lab Med)
- "The administration of IVIg complicates the accurate detection of anti-HLA antibodies, underscoring the need for careful interpretation of test results post-IVIg administration."

Exploring the action mechanism of Gegensan in the treatment of alcoholic liver disease based on network pharmacology and bioinformatics.
(PubMed, Medicine (Baltimore))
- "The above results suggest that GGS can regulate lipid metabolism and inflammatory response in the ALD process, and alleviate the lipid accumulation and oxidative stress caused by ethanol. This study analyzed the core targets and mechanisms of action of GGS on ALD, which provides certain theoretical support for the further development of GGS in the treatment of ALD, and provides a reference for the subsequent research on the treatment of ALD."

PSMA PET/CT for the targeting of prostate biopsies: Additional value over MRI
(EMUC 2023)
- "PSMA PET/CT classification was strongly correlated with ISUP GGs on prostate biopsies from corresponding region (p<0.001, Table 1)...The retrospective design of this study makes it uncertain whether regions with high uptake without biopsy data may yield more false-positive results. Further research in a prospective setting is needed."

Differentiation of geniculate ganglion venous malformation from schwannoma: dynamic T1-weighted imaging provides unique diagnostic value.
(PubMed, Eur Radiol)
- "• The "honeycomb" sign on HRCT is a reliable finding to differentiate GGVM from GGS. • GGVM typically shows "pattern A" enhancement (focal enhancement of the tumor on early dynamic T1WI, followed by progressive contrast filling of the tumor in the delayed phase), while "pattern B" enhancement (gradual heterogeneous or homogeneous enhancement of the whole lesion) is observed in GGS on dynamic T1WI."

Discrepancy between needle biopsy and radical prostatectomy ISUP grade group in patients with prostate cancer - 12 years’ experience in a tertiary prostate cancer center
(EMUC 2022)
- "This study aims to assess the correlation of the ISUP GGs on biopsy and the final pathology after radical prostatectomy (RP) over a 12-year timeframe...This clear trend toward higher ISUP GG in needle biopsy may be partially explained by the introduction of pre-biopsy magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) and targeted needle biopsies in the diagnostic process. Given the importance of the ISUP GG, this trend should be taken into account to avoid future overdiagnosis and overtreatment."

Vascularity Outcomes of Lingual Artery Ligation in Transoral Robotic Base of Tongue Resections.
(PubMed, Otolaryngol Head Neck Surg)
- "Individually, IMs and GGs on the ligated side demonstrated no significant difference to the contralateral side (P = .662 and .618, respectively)...No gross tongue atrophy or complications were incurred. Future studies are warranted to delineate long-term effects."

Novel insertion sequence ISChh1-like mediating acquisition of optrA gene in foodborne pathogen Campylobacter coli of swine origin.
(PubMed, Vet Microbiol)
- "Interestingly, ISChh1-like were also found mediating integration of other antibiotic resistance genes in Campylobacter, including tet(O), aphA3 and aadE-sat4-aphA3 gene cluster. Taken together, these results identify ISChh1-like as a novel transposon mediating acquisition of multiple antibiotic resistance genes in Campylobacter, including the very important optrA gene, suggesting that it plays an essential role in the transmission of antibiotic resistance genes to Campylobacter."

CTC phenotyping for a preoperative assessment of tumor metastasis and overall survival of pancreatic ductal adenocarcinoma patients.
(PubMed, EBioMedicine)
- "Our work suggested that H-CTC is a better predictor of metastasis and E-CTC is a significant independent predictor of OS. The CTC phenotyping model has the potential to be developed into a reliable and accurate blood test for metastatic and OS assessments of PDAC patients. Intestinal colonization and acute immune response in commercial turkeys following inoculation with Campylobacter jejuni constructs encoding antibiotic-resistance markers.
(PubMed, Vet Immunol Immunopathol)
- "...In order to precisely enumerate the C. jejuni isolate used to experimentally colonize turkeys, constructs of C. jejuni (NCTC 11,168) were tagged with different antibiotic resistance markers at the CmeF locus (chloramphenicol (CjCm) or kanamycin (CjK))...Results from this study provide valuable insight into host-response and persistent colonization of the turkey cecum. These findings will help to develop and test strategies to promote food safety in commercial turkeys."
