Early detection and management of mesenteric traction syndrome using the hypotension prediction index: a case report.
(PubMed, JA Clin Rep)
- "Recognition of facial flushing subsequently confirmed the diagnosis of MTS, and intravenous flurbiprofen stabilized the circulation. This case suggests that HPI monitoring may assist in the early identification of vasodilatory changes associated with MTS and support timely intervention before severe hypotension develops."

Novel Ruthenacarborane-NSAID Conjugates.
(PubMed, Molecules)
- "Herein, we report the synthesis of a series of ruthenacarborane-(η6-p-cymene)-NSAID conjugates (4a, 4b, 5b, and 6b) by linking NSAIDs (flurbiprofen, fenoprofen, and ibuprofen) to ruthenacarborane complexes using methylene and ethylene spacers, while maintaining the integrity of the sensitive ester groups present in the system. Notably, the conjugates demonstrated low COX inhibition and no cytotoxic potential against different cancer cell lines, probably due to oxidative deactivation confirmed by cyclic voltammetry (CV). This indicates that the conjugation of this type of ruthenacarborane with NSAIDs does not result in novel anticancer drugs."

Efficacy and Safety Comparison of Ulinastatin Versus Flurbiprofen Axetil for Preemptive Analgesia in Reducing Opioid Burden After Total Knee Arthroplasty: A Randomized Controlled Trial.
(PubMed, J Pain Res)
- "Total knee arthroplasty (TKA) poses a significant challenge for acute pain. Single preoperative UTI significantly reduced postoperative morphine consumption (~48%) and adverse reaction risks compared with FA and control by modulating the balance of proinflammatory and anti-inflammatory factors (IL-6 and IL-10). UTI provides an efficient and safe alternative, supporting its inclusion in enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) analgesia strategies."

Choline chloride-malic acid Natural Deep Eutectic Solvent containing hydrophobic drugs: Insights into solubility and permeability behavior in digestive tract models.
(PubMed, Int J Pharm)
- "The selected APIs included weak bases (domperidone, cinnarizine, olanzapine), weak acids (nimesulide, flurbiprofen), and a pH-independent compound (carbamazepine). Nevertheless, its ability to improve bioavailability is highly dependent on the molecular characteristics of each API + NaDES system. Upon dilution in biorelevant media, performance is governed by a delicate interplay of hydrogen bonding, hydrophobic interactions and competition with solubilizing agents present in gastrointestinal fluids."

Development and evaluation of an in situ gelling flurbiprofen throat spray for enhanced mucosal drug delivery and throat inflammation treatment.
(PubMed, Naunyn Schmiedebergs Arch Pharmacol)
- "By extending the duration of drug contact with the throat mucosa, this formulation presents a promising alternative for delivering drugs to treat throat inflammation effectively. However, the present study is limited to in vitro and ex vivo evaluations, and clinical validation is warranted to confirm its therapeutic applicability."
