Cost-Effectiveness Analysis of the Use of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy in the Treatment of Diabetic Foot Disease in Colombia (ISPOR 2024) - "We aimed to analyze the costs and effectiveness of the use of Negative Pressure Wound Therapy (NPWT) compared to Topical Oxygen Therapy (TOT) and Nepidermin (human recombinant epidermal growth factor, hEGF) in the treatment of diabetic foot ulcers in Colombia... NPWT seems to offer a better cost-effectiveness ratio with respect to hEGF, but not to TOT in Colombia. The main limitation of this study centers on the absence of non-inferiority clinical trials with a long-term horizon."

Efficacy Comparison Study of Human Epidermal Growth Factor (EGF) between Heberprot-P and Easyef in Adult Zebrafish and Embryo under Presence or Absence Combination of Diabetic Condition and Hyperlipidemia to Mimic Elderly Patients. (PubMed, Geriatrics (Basel)) - "Treatment of Heberprot-P75 induced a greater developmental speed of zebrafish embryos in both water exposure and microinjection. Heberprot-P75 induced significantly higher wound healing and tissue regeneration activity than Easyef and PBS in the presence or absence of diabetic conditions and cholesterol supplementation."
